Minnesotans love our third spaces, we love our special events, we love our little treats, we love Doing Our Civic Duty, and we love anything we can claim is *distinctly Minnesotan* whether it is or not, and the MN State Fair is like the center of allllllllllll those Venn Diagram circles at once.

And he was like "yeah my local one has that same amount over the time of the fair." And I had to correct him: "no, I mean A DAY."

Texas technically has the biggest State Fair by attendance, putting MN in second, but theirs runs for almost a month. And as a fraction of the state's population who attends, MN is solidly in first place
