A very distant, much zoomed-in-upon, grainy and bashful kingfisher from this morning's dog walk. But a briefly paused dot of electric blue is still a dot of electric blue injected into a morning. And its flight to get to its perch was all the startled joy you could wish for.
I love capturing those moments where London Underground trains line up perfectly with station posters. With a little patience and a bit of luck, you can end up with some wonderfully amusing and unexpected shots.

Robin Wilde@robinwilde.me · 6d agoI actually know the answer to this and it's slightly insane. Google pulls from Wikipedia to determine if a place is a city, town, neighbourhood, whatever. Brighton's first line describes it as a "seaside resort" so Google Maps thinks it's a neighbourhood and doesn't display it in the "city" font.
