“Protect users from discrimination and harassment” is doing a whole lot of heavy lifting for a code that is explicitly designed to target, harass, and enable discrimination against trans people, who should be protected by the Equality Act 2010

It remains illegal to discriminate against trans people or anyone you think might be trans. Inter alia, we retain the human rights to privacy.

There a million things wrong with the EHRC guidance, as you all know, but for me the weirdest thing about it all is that its authors don't even seem to be aware of the possibility that someone asked to leave a "single sex" facility might refuse.

Silly me, I thought the EHRC was there to defend Human Rights, not enforce removal of rights using threats
If you're trans in the UK today, it's super important to understand this: DO NOT COMPLY. The EHRC 'guidance' isn't legally binding, not even a little bit. You do not have to comply and you should not. Make your presence in 'single-sex' spaces louder, show them they have no control over us.
I’m glad that the @goodlawproject.org is launching a legal challenge against the EHRC’s new Code of Practice, which is dangerous, unworkable and has been opposed by a quarter of all MPs. The Code will discriminate against trans people and subject many others to gender policing based on stereotypes.

this just shows people like it formulaic, like well-known tropes this knowledge is humbling, terrifying and sobering: it explains so much about current affairs of the world... these few people, would destroy world, because they think, rich are on their side, and not that, they too became enemy...

'Why can't I opt out?' and 'How can I opt out?' are the two questions I ask a lot when I'm online. Personal choice doesn't seem to be factored into my interactions with tech anymore. You're here so you must want AI, why wouldn't you? That seems to be the starting position.
