My heart beats on the Left. Member @demsocialists.bsky.social (and so should you!). Not actually a pig or an aviator. he/him/ours
the worst strategic mistakes of everyone in the party for the last several years pretty much all come down to a delusion that the overwhelming majority of the party is with them and that their opponents are just annoying people on twitter
way closer than expected, but an Arab leftist besting 70 million in outside spending is an Arab leftist besting 70 million in outside spending: a political earthquake and a new dawn 25 years after 9/11
Abdul built a primary campaign rooted in the belief that human rights are universal, and that we can invest in our communities instead of endless wars. He didn't back down on his commitments to end Israel's genocide and apartheid. Congratulations @abdulelsayed.bsky.social On to November!
Tonight we find out whether Michigan voters are bluesky posters or bluesky replyers
Food, man. Food is so much better than it was in 1986. All of it. Poor-people food, restaurant food, fresh food, frozen food. Food is just a hell of a lot better.
first drop from Grand Rapids has a result I would not actually be surprised to see as close to the final margin
I am hearing that on their deathbed, the Haley Stevens for Senate campaign received the light of Islam and unhesitatingly recited the Shahada. Even now they look down on the Ummah from the gardens of Jannah. Truly there is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is his prophet!
I'm just glad Article I isn't alive to see this
Q: There's a report that the US has taken in $13b from Venezuela. Where is that money going? T: Even more Q: But where is it going? T: We've paid for that war many times over Q: Where is the money going? T: Running the country Q: No, the money US is taking in -- T: Running the country
Abdul El Sayed's open-mindedness on the question of how to actually resolve the question of Palestine is one of the best indicators of his overall intelligence and sincerity. Policymakers in DC should adopt a rights-based approach which prioritizes ending the occupation and apartheid systems.
El-Sayed: "I believe in equal rights to peace, dignity, and self-determination, for Palestinians and Jewish Israelis alike... If that’s 2 states, I’m for it. If it’s 1 state, I’m for that. If it’s this 'land for all' model, ... or whatever they decide." www.newyorker.com/news/the-new...

The day that Ray Bradbury died I was on book tour and that night I read "There Will Come Soft Rains" to my audience instead of the usual reading.
Today, August 4, 2026, is the setting of Ray Bradbury’s short story “There Will Come Soft Rains” about a fully automated house continuing on after the family who lived there and the world around it died in a nuclear blast.
BREAKING: The newly elected Prime Minister of Hungary announced that Netanyahu will be arrested if he enters Hungary.
I honestly cannot believe this. The TV trope of Feds Showing IDs exists because real Feds did that shit so you knew they were actual law enforcement officials and not some random person there to kidnap you or kill you. We know this has literally happened with Fake ICE! And yet.
Judge rules New York can’t ban federal agents from wearing face coverings
NEW: Big new feature from me about offshore wind farms as anchors for wildlife! For example: seals swimming *into* turbine towers to, apparently, hunt fish - and scour protection at the base of turbines used by sea creatures as a dwelling place. atmos.earth/science-and-...

Offshore wind farms can pose risks to birds and marine life. But their foundations also serve as artificial reefs, offering essential habit.

Scholars are divided on the question of whether an individual known as “Babe Ruth” ever existed; however excavations in New York have proven that there was once a powerful baseball kingdom known as Nycyankae dating to the early 20th century CE
The whole Mariners' pen believes Babe Ruth didn't exist. Kinda want all MLB players to believe this and make the owners agree to it in next CBA
the thing about baseball players is that they should not be allowed to speak
this was the peak of woke 1 and the only thing I've ever thought when I hear 'wework'
i'm just in a really bad place right now (a wework)
honestly Frasier remains an absolutely top tier show, and as I've noted before one big reason is because it makes absolutely zero attempt to be contemporary or realistic; it exists in its own Wodehouse-like social universe.
One of those weird paradox of choice things where I used to be fine seeing Frasier as a kid because I got some of the jokes and there was a dog and it was what was on versus now where no matter what I watch I know there’s something better I should be watching
You’re supposed to eat the porridge, brother.
blinking guy dot gif
someone needs to tell him that even the israelis have started using the "hamas-run health ministry" numbers because they know the real number is hundreds of thousands higher
This guy has 20,000 followers and is using his platform to do Gazan holocaust denialism
I wish the Max Miller story was less framed as “look at how Republicans are hypocrites” and more “once again powerful people clearly knew of a horrific level of abuse being performed to somebody and obviously chose not to care about until it became a political liability.”
