I personally believe the main reason that we haven't had a modern dinosaur film that's better than Jurassic Park is because JP is all about how we see dinosaurs. I can think of few blockbusters that are as focused on reinventing how the audience perceives a subject.

a nice rv.dev win: I just dug up an old app that was on ruby 3.4.5, a ruby version I'd deleted. `rv ci` installed ruby and all gems in < 10 seconds.

Every couple months Bungie had a release that would compete in scope with most AAA games in quality and scope. It took almost a thousand people in two large teams constantly working on the next and next next seasons, leap frogging each other. They had to nail a banger each time and mostly did.

this worked perfectly! i needed it to compile mruby (it's used for rosetracker scripting and formulas and will be using it in DAW plugins as well), and this means i can have a reliable build step for it across different platforms. all i had to do was "rv run rake all" and rv sorted out everything
