There's a long (somewhat documented) history of chinese women being erased from revolutionary and political history in a Chinese context. My interest is much more in the literary side of things but like just look at the history textbooks or political organizations
I mean there's lots of extensive evidence they have been erased I am Chinese and the person herself is Chinese doing research in China in Chinese so western-centric is not the issue here

Spain has joined France and Switzerland in banning Palantir from public sector contracts, and Madrid is under pressure to review the military contract it currently has with the Thiel company - and perhaps decline to renew it. Italy has banned all new contracts. Over to you, Ottawa
I’ve got a bad feeling about this. “If NATO were to go to war, it would go to war [using] Palantir” www.thetimes.com/article/fb34...

#Myanmar has become strategically vital to Beijing: #rareearth supplies, pipelines to the Indian Ocean, border security, & influence over the country’s conflict all feature prominently in China’s interests.
On this day in 2011, we lost Gordon Tootoosis. ❤️ A celebrated Cree actor, activist and mentor, he was beloved as Albert Golo on CBC's North of 60. His work helped transform Indigenous representation on Canadian television, and his legacy continues to inspire. 🍁
Honestly think this is part of the reason Milk Tea Alliance became more than just a shitpost brigade. There are genuine concerns in Myanmar and other SE Asian countries (and of course, HK and Taiwan) about China’s long reach

From Minneapolis to Iran, the defining feature of the Trump regime and peripheral fascist paramilitaries is its utter lack of logistical expertise. Thank goodness they didn't hire any Georgia Tech industrial engineers

We had dinner with my Chinese immigrant in-laws last night, and we talked about America. My MIL said that living in America, a place that values freedom, gave her permission to become the person she wanted to be. If you’re looking for something to celebrate today, I think it’s a good place to start.
Lobga Rangzen's final message was a call for unity, for renewed commitment to the Tibetan cause, and for us in exile to use our freedoms to stand with Tibetans inside Tibet. We honour his lifelong commitment by continuing the work for a free Tibet. #FreeTibet #StandWithTibet #HumanRights #Tibet
The death of Tibetan activist Lobga Rangzen is a tragic reminder of the devastating human cost of China's policies in occupied Tibet. As Beijing intensifies assault on Tibetan identity through the implementation of the new Ethnic Unity Law, the international community cannot remain silent.

Calls to defund the police were not to starve them of resources; it was about reducing their power and instilling accountability. We had a chance to do so, and blew it.
