The two #Equinox are the only days when the Sun rises due East and sets due West, everywhere. At the Dec solstice the sun rises in the S-East. At the June solstice it rises in the N-East. As the days pass between the two, the sunrise position slowly changes passing due East each equinox.🤩 🔭🧪

Hildur Knútsdóttir@hildur.bsky.social · 3y agoMy favourite fact about Iceland is that we have many, many crime writers but only one forensic pathologist, and he was so busy answering all of their questions that he decided to have a small seminar for writers to get some peace. It immediately sold out so he had another one that also sold out.
I reconnected with and met some really great people in London and Paris. But there’s a reason I haven’t been to Europe in nearly a decade. The utterly ignorant, arrogant and racist things I heard and observed.. always hits different for me in Europe. Even with all of my “African American privilege”.
guys the UK gender clinics -𝕝𝕚𝕥𝕖𝕣𝕒𝕝𝕝𝕪- required trans people to use the facilities for their target sex, for two years, before they were given any access to healthcare. rationale is not where these people go looking for answers. it is solely about their bigoted priors. everything comes after that.

The proper response is to simply not treat the cocaine-fueled fantasies of a billionaire sex pest as if they have any merit whatsoever, and simply not get caught up in a stoned freshman philosophy 101 argument with the stupidest fucking people who have ever lived.
What gets me is the woman who wasn’t able to finish her degree. The one who isn’t sure if she can. The one who started a stable job and had to leave because of this behavior. How many brilliant women are stifled by the men coddled by their institutions?
