The thing that's being suppressed isn't really the party, which can adapt to the terrain. It's the voters in New York and California, and their cosmopolitan liberal beliefs
Lotta people on this site mistook an undeveloped and underfunded T&S team as explicit license to be complete nudniks on main and if the occasional time out is the cost of getting them to settle the fuck down it’s a bargain at twice the price.
Why employ someone taking below market salary to have the benefits and stability of public sector employment when you could fire them, pay a consultant 3x as much for the same work, then have to rehire the employee with back pay bc their firing didn't follow legal procedure? #DOGE
Josh Fruhlinger@jfruh.bsky.social · 6d agoone of the things that became clear during the DOGE saga is that a lot of anger about "corruption" is aimed at actual gov't employees who, it turns out, have to bring their own coffee machines into the office so that taxpayers aren't funding it, meanwhile consultants get this treatment
there really isn't a coherent position between "you should vote for the Democrat" and "you should vote for the Republican". if you think the Democrat has to lose to deter a future anti-trans shift, fine, but tell people to vote R! if you want them to make their voices heard, why stop halfway?

They've collapsed the legislative branch into the unitary executive.
I get these people are bewormed subnormals but “the state gets to regulate to prevent communicable disease” is so core to the Framers’ understanding of of the function of the state it gets used in the early Commerce Clause cases as an example of a thing that obviously falls under the police power

As @mtsw.bsky.social is frequently saying, the reason Mamdani comes off as “authentic” here is that he’s relentlessly practiced the skill of speaking to camera, and also has a very sophisticated and professional team (editor, photographer, etc) that work very hard to make things seem effortless
