Feel like I'm going insane here but I need to break this down for myself. Badenoch's position on former neo-nazi's is: - they can stand as councillors because they should only deal with parking/bins - doesn't want them becoming MPs - but happy on them becoming official Tory Party advisors

The thing that really grinds my gears about this is the dishonesty. The biggest implication of this guidance is that trans people will have to live their lives very differently. But they are entirely absent from this framing. You'd be forgiven for thinking this didn't affect them at all.

Raise the Colours Oxfordshire organiser Ben Cullen head-butted a highways worker after police were called to McDonalds in Benson where highways staff were attempting to remove flags from lamp posts; Highways staff now wear unbranded PPE, work in unbranded vehicles, wear face coverings to hide their identity, and do not travel alone for fear of attacks; Highways staff working on streetlight maintenance, not flag removal, have been spat on and abused by RTC supporters; Cullen and his partner Trudy Wells posted the office addresses and phone numbers of highways depots online, leading to comments suggesting “hanging council workers from those same lamp posts”; RTC Oxfordshire fixed trackers to the vehicles used by highways staff, then used this to find out their home addresses – which have been published online, and repeated to staff with threatening messages; Highways depots now have to remain locked at all times; A highways contractor’s sponsorship of a children’s football club is being rethought after concerns that children could be targeted.

They lost two constituencies to the Greens, and placed behind them on the PR vote in three more! The Greens placed first overall in the capital! They weren't far off in Glasgow! They were the top choice for under 30's! The SNP have already done worse on PR vote than Labour did when they first lost!

"losing *more* votes to the Greens" is the absolutely key phrase here: Sturgeon does actually get it! The wing currently in the ascendence in the SNP are all absolutely convinced that the end of the BHA saved them, as opposed to SNP polling remaining flat from before collapsing it until this year
