Social movements never die, they shift the object of their obsession. My kingdom for an anthropologist comparing "AI evangelism" for the regular 'ol evangelical movements of the early and mid-20th century.
I have one answer.

Nobody wins any prizes for guessing the byline on this.
Babylon 5 is being released, episode by episode, for free, on YouTube. You should watch it
It was probably 2018 when I got the itch to build an improv show from scratch. As the busy, ADHD person I am, that meant I endlessly kicked around the idea but never actually did anything about it. It wouldn't be until last year that I decided to actually get on with it.
Can't be the first to say this, but (and yay UEFA - brilliant) this works equally well if you swap out "football" for maybe "water" or "a stable climate". Look at me being the revolutionary socialist. "No one has the moral authority to sell what they merely hold in trust for the next generation."
There's already so many ways to play N64 games without supporting a fashy little freak's pet project. Do not buy the war crime n64. aftermath.site/war-crime-n64-...

Genuinely curious how much 'Live at the Apollo' costs that would see it as a target for massive cost-saving. Surely all of these have got to be some of the cheapest formats going.
BBC: Blankety Blank, Celebrity Mastermind and Live At The Apollo axed. www.bbc.co.uk/mediacentre/...
Everyone who uses "smart glasses" to be legally required to strap one of these to their head and light it up when the camera is on

The new SoL looks utterly gorgeous. The production design. The damage from when it crashed into Earth at the end of Diabolik! Pearl’s VW as space debris. Amazing.

"The world's richest man has made the as-yet unreleased comeback film of an actor facing accusations of cannibalism freely available after getting the permission of its director, Uwe Boll."
My theory on why Manchester is powerful and it's the ITV franchise / Granada TV. Tony Wilson was able to build a non-London power base with it, used it to launch Factory records, and make a conscious decision to stay in Manc. The people making culture had a nucleus and didn't have to move to London.
Was chatting about the relative invisibility of Birmingham compared to Manchester yesterday. Theories: -Lack of top flight football and music scene -Lack of defining visuals -Made bad bet on wrong kind of urbanism -Midlands identity just gets lost in north/south duality -Relative economic decline
Would be good if, even as an aside, blanket coverage of yet another British PM finding the country impossible to govern would mention the enormous, undeniable impact of foreign interference. Richest bloke in the world is actively undermining UK democracy and it's taboo to say so
2. It comes from an institution (the UK government, and arguably the UK parliament and political class) which basically does not understand tech very well and is quietly proud of that. Hence the biannual “let’s ban encryption” conversation.
I think a lot of things about the U16 social media ban. I‘m just going to list a few of them and go have some lunch. 1. It belongs in part to groups of parents who read (parts of) Jonathan Haidt’s questionable book and then yelled a lot on WhatsApp.
Is this how Jon Craig is all the time or did he just happen to lose any sense of professionalism in this one instance?

You know, given what happened to 'Doctor Who,' Amazon's decision to kill off its planned Stargate show because it was geared too much toward existing fans was probably a good idea.
Livaković was utterly magnificent, he deserves all of the MOTM plaudits.
Doctor Who's previously-announced Christmas special is no more as the BBC severs ties with Russell T. Davies and Bad Wolf.

I wonder at what point the non-disparagement clauses end and we'll finally know what the hell happened. My kingdom for an hour in a room with RTD and a tape recorder.
Anyone know how to set up a production company and write a tender application?
Babylon 5 is so fuckin good. the way they're taking this guy who was shitty and gross at the beginning and making him into the only one who's trying to stop the extremely bad stuff that's going on and taking this goofy pompous dude and making him a villain... JMS the GOAT
