Sound Transit has adjusted the at-grade track crossing warning lights at Judkins Park station to turn off while the Lynnwood-bound train is stopped.

The warning lights for the at-grade track crossing at Judkins Park station are very proactive. They activate before the westbound train arrives at the station, and stay on for a bit after the train passes through the crossing.

Route 8’s eastbound on-time performance is on track to exceed 80% in September 2026. This will be the first time eastbound Route 8 trips meet Metro’s 80% on-time goal in at least 7 years.

@transportation.seattle.gov delivering protection for people who ride bikes!!! Thank you!! Just yesterday on my walk home from light rail I saw three cyclists on Henderson (two on Lime bikes). People are biking and scooting in Rainier Beach, and pretty soon they get to feel safe while doing so.

Save the date for Pioneer Square Urbanism does a "Sunset Cruise". October 2nd. Meet up at Pioneer Square's occidental ave at 6pm and then walk to the ferry terminal to catch the 6:30 ferry for a sunset from the water!

Metro dropped the ball on updating the necessary bus stop route signs this service change. I was in Lake Forest Park last weekend (one week after the service change) and all of the bus stops still said 372 and 522 to Roosevelt. The stops in Lake City were updated for the new routes (72,77).

Ok metro/st kind of botched some of the rollout for the bus changes in August. For example, the 556’s route and map are wrong on transit/google/ST’s own website. You have to open and read an alert to figure out where the bus actually goes. And when you get to the in-service stop, this is the sign

Route 385 is the free downtown Bainbridge shuttle running on Saturdays this summer. I was pleasantly surprised to see several Bainbridge residents using it to get to Safeway and the library. Two of the local passengers told the driver they wished the shuttle ran throughout the year.

Amtrak will start running the new Airo trainsets on Amtrak Cascades on September 30, according to a WSDOT presentation happening right now at the Puget Sound Regional Council.

There are less than 24 hours left to enjoy a car-free Lake Washington Blvd in 2026. Despite the overcast ad chilly weather this morning, hundreds of Seattleites were walking, rolling, or biking in this incredible park.

Pike Place gets all the attention, but we should also be pedestrianizing streets in every neighborhood. Imagine how great Ballard Ave could be if we closed it to cars permanently.

I checked out the Henderson St PBL project today in Rainier Beach, and construction is coming along pretty well. Can’t wait for the needed protection to be installed (see the truck using the bike lane for loading) @rvgreenways.bsky.social @transportation.seattle.gov

I think we are going to need a bus lane on Boren Ave for Route 70 (soon to be RapidRide J). I-5 bound traffic fills up both lanes between Denny and Stewart.

Weekends on Lake Washington Blvd have been incredible this summer! Thanks to the longer hours and consistent schedule, LWB was busy every weekend with people of all ages enjoying a calm and relaxing park along the Lake.

The display for the at the northbound stop at Mount Baker TC works great! Just ignore the current date/time and the estimated arrival time for the buses.

Good morning from Everett! I am about to start my first attempt at an ORCA speedrun: traveling on every mode of fixed-route transit offered by each of the nine agencies in the ORCA pod. This journey will require taking at least 13 buses, 4 boats, and 4 trains throughout Puget Sound.

The Columbian Way bike lanes just got a bit better!
