I have this idea I call the C-3PO test, which I haven't seen anywhere. Scenario: C3PO exists. Although he is a machine, he easily passes any known test of consciousness or personhood that doesn’t include knowing in advance that he is a machine. He is capable of suffering and sadness.

If you're opposed to machine learning making outputs based on training on copyrighted art, are you opposed to ai in general doing it, or opposed to the current types of models doing it? That is, if you had C-3PO, would the same rule apply?

i don't think this is a hot take but if it is, it shouldn't be. opposition to GLP-1 meds is an attack on body autonomy the same as being anti-vax, anti-abortion, or anti-hrt. the existence of GLP-1 meds is a breakthrough for both T2 diabetes and obesity. wishing ill and rejecting it is anti science.

hot take but i think a lot of people actually want there to be some kind of horrible health hazard associated with GLP-1 meds because their existence challenges their protestant ethic-esque philosophy of bodies

but you're the only one who seems to be confused? here is a screenshot from someone in the comments, i don't know much about this but this seems pretty clear that AIPAC at the very least heavily contributed to the outcome

An AIPAC-aligned group spent more than $5 million dollars in ads to boost Fine and attack Biss, then later, Abughazaleh. That group pulled down its anti-Biss attacks at the endo f the race, before a different shell PAC emerged to prop up another low-polling progressive in the race in an attempt to divide the progressive vote.

Since some people seem to be confused about this: the dogwhistle is saying that AIPAC bought the election she lost. They did not, and in fact they also opposed her opponent. So how am I supposed to interpret this unless we take “AIPAC” to be a synecdoche for something else.
