I’ve worn a grubby RNLI cap for decades. I sound London, but I was born in Truro and I was a basically feral (Gen X) kid wandering the coast path with a dog until sunset for a lot of my early life. The lifeboats are in the fabric like trawlers and farms and pasties and fish and chips.

*Every* school should have all through roads festooned with Zebra and Puffin crossings and every side street made a school street. No consultation, no debate, just implemented. And yes, inconveniencing and slowing down traffic is *THE WHOLE POINT*. It shouldn't be controversial or difficult.

Billionaires giving money just emphasises how little anyone really needs that much money. Sums that no reasonable person could spend in a lifetime. Of course, they could donate to any number of good causes but their sociopathy means they donate only in order to eventually get even more money...

The album passed me by a little when released - and to be fair I had a bit of illness around then. But this masterpiece includes at least two of the greatest tracks ever recorded... What an album.
