CEO Dan Clancy says Twitch now uses AI to identify streamers that may not match a brand, since it now transcribes all streams for brand safety. It won't show ads on channels or content the AI believes don't match what the advertiser is trying to achieve.

I also enjoy when you load a video that's going to autoplay but the controls are visible before the video's properly loaded so you pause the video before it does anything and then it unpauses itself when it's ready anyway

Really enjoying this mass convergence of videos auto-playing AND auto-muting. The perfect design pattern. Fortunately, access to the playhead is collapsed in some way and has to be revealed so that you can struggle to precisely tap a too-small tap target. They've really thought of everything!

When I see devs talking about and defending themselves using genAI I see them like a mr beast or the Paul brothers. You may find success but I’m never going to engage with what you make but I’ll definitely call it out for a net negative for the industry you’re helping to push for in the long run.
