Why is it that for a Black person the same age, their *autonomy* is reduced to that of a high schooler: they can be explicitly told to change or leave if they have on slides and a du-rag?
Anyway… the Tuskegee thing has me thinking about how, in comparison to how white people of the same age would be treated, people simultaneously infantilize Black young adults and demand that they grow up faster
