There is a subtler bigotry. It's not like "Abdul El-Sayed" isn't obviously Arab/Muslim. "Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed" triggers stronger xenophobia because it suggests an unassimilated immigrant. It exoticizes him with a name an American typically wouldn't opt to go by in daily life (as he does not)

The thing that pisses me off most about Royce White is that he was given so many chances for his anxiety and abused the system repeatedly. Royce couldn't fly on planes due to his anxiety. He requested a bus to travel between games. They gave it to him. Then he stopped showing up anyway a month in.

Hasan Piker’s response to 9/11 was awful, the way he lied about WMDs, and invaded the wrong country, and manipulated the media into cheerleading a criminal war of choice, and got thousands of innocents killed. Not cool, man.
This is why I find the 'AI has uses' or the 'AI is marketed wrong' so dumb. Of course everything comes with a trade off, but, you can't possibly think that what few things it can do is worth being "the biggest climate polluter in the US." That seems absolutely insane

People are making fun of AOC for having a slight southern accent while speaking in Memphis but they clearly don’t know the pain of habitually and unconsciously imitating the speaking style of the people around you
He endured personal tragedies & came out of retirement to dig the country out of a pandemic. The thanks he got was being ridden out of town on a rail by jaded reporters who were bored with his competence. I'll never forgive the press for what they did to this good man.
