"We got some underperforming cartoons and video games bad press. Why can't we cancel a blockbuster by one of the most famous and popular directors starring the most famous and popular actors based on one of the oldest and most popular stories in the Western canon?"
The cope from the right has hit maximum levels
On CNN, El-Sayed is asked about this Trump post. He says it represents "two different visions of America:" "Two people who don't like each other but are joined in the interest of making billions of dollars off of you. Or, two people who genuinely love each other, enjoying some panacakes together."
The Great Satan Franklin Delano Roosevelt by his devilish trick of New Deal denied the righteous working class the Revolution Rapture into The Kingdom of Communism.
>the New Deal was a catastrophe for the working class
"the new deal is fascist" dawg look at my fucking left i'm never getting healthcare
We already had laws that protected them from arbitrary firing. Trump broke the line item of congressional statute when he fired Rebecca Slaughter and every Inspector General in the government. The Supreme Court, rogue fascist wizard council that it is simply decided that those laws did not exist.
The chart of how white collar crime has crashed in the past 15 years shows how there's a lot of federal law enforcement that could have been happening & simply didn't, because the defendants are all too rich
With all due respect I would say we do not particularly need new legislation as the DOGE firings have already been found to be illegal The thing we need is a judiciary with the means and will to conduct arrests and prosecutions for violations of the law
The idea that deep institutional damage can be easily rolled back seems like a very odd take for a conservative. The damage to the civil service system is huge, and legislation is needed to reassure future hires they won’t be fired on a whim.
Douthat is not a conservative; he’s a Republican cheerleader who feigns writing from a disengaged point of view. Burke and Oakeshott, or Hayek, would not recognize any of MAGA’s pillars as conservative. Nash himself referred to Trump as an “aberration” from the tradition.

There is legislation protecting civil service jobs. This Regime completely ignores them.

"Industry groups ranging from construction to agriculture are raising concerns with the Trump administration over its ongoing immigration crackdown, arguing it is undercutting President Donald Trump’s agenda and weakening the economy."
>YouTube is hosting Lego AI ads about the Alien Nephilim Bloodline that all world civil and religious leaders have been members of for thousands of years to make The People feel depressed and suppress their magic powers
Biden made the right decision with problematic execution pulling out of Afghanistan and he was savaged for it daily. Trump makes one of the worst strategic decisions in U.S. history with catastrophic consequences and somehow the reaction seems milder. Am I wrong about that?
That the thing, isn't it?: it hasn't been for lack of trying on the admin's part. The America they wanted to subjugate just refused to and still refuses to cooperate. Which was exactly the story of Trump 1 except idiots in the media pushed the idea that it meant Trump was tamer than thought
This is tbh why I think The Parallel people reach for should be the Crisis of the 1850s and not Weimar Germany
Something charmingly American about how they are still living through an unbelievable level of prosperity, by historic and global standards, and are convinced they're facing collapse
Yea anti-anti-Trumpists and anti-anti-Putinists share this thread of insisting that their chosen waifu dictator is actually exercising some sort of measured restraint when they inevitably fuck up from arrogance and get denied their maximalist aims by hostile resistance as a form of coping
Right like in Jan 22 the “alarmist” position was “Putin will invade, toppling Kyiv in days” and the “anti-alarmist” position was “Putin is too smart and savvy to invade” and while the worst fears of the “alarmists” have not been realized it’s not like the “anti-alarmists” were half right!

I was going to say: is administration did a full on campaign to try to argue that they can shoot protesters in the streets, and try desperately to outright and habeas corpus, the administration failed to consolidate, but not for lack of trying.
For that matter the one reason that the “authoritarian consolidation” has not been totally realized yet is not down to some thoughtful temperance and restraint like a normal administration exercises, as Douthat demands you believe, but because they outright lost the fight in Minneapolis this winter
I would say that domestically trump has not consolidated authoritarianism to the extent his worst critics feared, but in foreign policy his record has been exponentially worse than anyone was talking about, short of actual nuclear war. (still a possibility!)
They entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they would fire no guns and shed no tears
What if you made an administration entirely out of crime
i’m sorry, what
Tonights Movie: The Directors Barely-Disguised Fetish
TODAY'S QUESTION: Would any prior chair of Senate Appropriations have stood by and watched, like Susan Collins appears to have, as jurisdiction for supplementals – and even for big chunks of what had always been annual appropriations – was moved to the Budget Committee?
>movie built out of weird pervert fantasies >still hung up on Muh Heckin COVID Tyranny >”dae hate le sex scenes that don’t advance le plot” They’re calling it the most Twitter-poisoned movie of all time
Yes, that’s the problem
“Military Center” lmfao Really wanna know what MAGA “lawyer” convinced him he could wordgame his way through it
This might be why no single judge authored the ruling:
this is an admission of a crime btw; superpacs cannot coordinate with candidates
Q: MAGA Inc., the Super PAC that your allies control-- Trump: Not my allies, I control. $800M. I could spend it on anything I want. I have a busy schedule. I won. I'm not campaigning. A lot of people are angry at Republicans. They are not angry at me.
Please stop referring to these periodic waves of rightwing assholes coming to WNBA games just to yell bigoted s**t or throw dildos at the players "fans," because they're telling the world pretty clearly that they are not.
The military is capable of converting morons like Hegseth into officers that aren’t actively a danger to themselves and others by making them robots that have a default programmed response to every scenario. Hegseth is too stupid to realize this was done to him and thinks he’s literally John Wick.
The thing about Hegseth is that all told he’s just a few income brackets high of being those AQ guys who filmed themselves jumping through burning hula hoops or swinging on the monkey bars and figuring that that was enough preparation for the Great Holy War
how much do you want to bet they think it's talking about this shit:
