Scotland's facing a wave of hyper-scale data centre applications. If built they'd consume more than 1.5 times our peak electricity use, with no requirement to assess their environmental impact. We need to ensure our economy works for everyone, not just tech billionaires. ➡️ greens.scot/datacentres

The clip circulating recently showing the bones in a baby’s onesie uncovered during this ‘cleaning’ exercise was gut wrenching. I cannot understand why the estimated number of killed Gazans has sat at around 80,000 for two and a half of the three year conflict (genocide) and everyone parrots that.

"The systematic removal of rubble at this pace conceals the evidence of appalling crimes Israel committed in Gaza, especially those related to genocide, such as summary executions and killing unarmed civilians," says @euromedhr.bsky.social.

66 seems a young age for Rod Liddle to die. Talented comic writer, insightful about football.obvs took much pleasure in transgressing political correctness But just lied when caught being much more indefensibly racist+ sexist online in his Millwallmonkey persona www.theguardian.com/media/2026/a...

As Rod Liddle has died, I notice this column I wrote in 2019 about his attacks on people with M.E. is on the most read again. Rebekah Brooks, of News UK, described Liddle today as “provocative”. In reality, he spread lies about very sick people for cash. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Rod Liddle vilifies disabled people. I’m tired of the hate. We all should be | Frances Ryan

Whether it is ME patients or another target, huge swathes of the media have normalised hatred of minorities for years, says Guardian columnist Frances Ryan

Demonstrators gathered on Reforma Avenue in Mexico City on Saturday to demand that the Mexican government cut relations with Israel. The protest was held against a water management agreement between Mexico’s Chihuahua state and the Israeli agency MASHAV.

AMAZING MOMENT A woman came back still wearing a custody tshirt having been released for a terrorism arrest. While being arrested for declaring support for Palestine Action a second time, another woman came back to do the same. The opposition to this ban cannot be contained.

Hello I have made this due to a mutual having issues with some folks on here forgetting this fact and shouting at him for it. Feel free to use it as a handy PSA x

A crappy photoshop paint image with a red star on blue, in comic sans is the message 'some people on the internet aren't American'

Love has never needed permission from labels 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈 My emptiness of gender lets me see that clearly. Anxiety tightens around transgender lives right now. Why must their chosen bonds still pass through someone else’s gate? Why is the soul they claim treated as a request instead of a right?

We should never forget how the BBC has changed this country by giving endless airtime to Nigel Farage and other rightwing extremists, while shutting out progressive voices.

And why is #r4today giving (yet again) such prominence to a hair-brained scheme that has little chance to ever be implemented? A GE is unlikely soon and the threat of Reform winning it is apparently receding. What is the justification for legitimising it?
