I’d recommend everyone watch this - it’s rather cheering to watch our media discover that an incompetent crank runs our national equality regulator
EHRC chair challenged on how to enforce single-sex toilet rules www.channel4.com/news/ehrc-ch...
I love them both. More importantly no one loves them more than @hollyqueenofspayeds.com who loves many many more cats too. Support her shelter.
Smol Paul and his new sidekick Smolla Paula: the wobbly monochrome partnership in crime we all need right now. Thank you so much for contributing to our fundraiser so we could make this happen -- I can't stop laughing at their little faces!
Based on tonight at @sohotheatre.bsky.social I'm probably going to cry about eight times at the Fringe in Edinburgh. That's ok.
There's one astronomer very well known, who has had sexual harassment accusations made. Having been in a room with them, and knowing others who have, I find them plausible. They're not the one in the Epstein Files. Just saying.
I will tell you one thing: 999 is going to be INUNDATED with nuisance phone calls today because a woman with shoulders did a piss.
I'm just saying something hit the dead dusty Moon. It's not like someone built an advert on it...
I don't mean to be too contrary but the Moon is dead and not *that* interesting when we can get samples from it and observe hits otherwise. We should care about the unmentioned burn ups in Earth's atmosphere and so on of which he does so much. That's the planet we and everything else lives on.
We're literally just letting the richest man in the world commit vandalism on an extraplanetary scale.
The Arday situation sounds like quite the mess, but no matter what it'll take a lot for me to think racists weren't heavily involved in pushing it.
Amnesty UK just excluded “A Growing Threat – the Anti-Rights Movement in the UK” from Internet Archive. "Like a Snowball: The Growth & Impact of the Gender Critical Movement in the UK" is still up. I've added alternate archives of all five pages & documents. www.transgendermap.com/issues/group...

There is no ethical consumption of Harry Potter. And not in the usual "no ethical consumption under capitalism" way. In the "your fandom is now comprised of hate symbols" way.
JKR explicitly said she considers anything Potter-related, even fan-made, endorsement of her politics. And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.
we should be hitting the moon with more stuff. sick of it controlling our tides, causing people to spiral into insanity, turning some of our best guys into wolves
On a Piccadilly Line train and there's a loud beepy alarm going off. Sometimes stops briefly at stations. No idea what it's for and no one seems bothered. It is very loud though. At the moment I'm assuming it's the self destruct but I still have time to get to my stop.
You know what, it’s rare I hear a genuinely new argument from a transphobe that isn’t just a standard talking point, so, fair play, I’ll give this some credit. Also, sorry, what the fuck?
Here's my Cosmo piece about how segregated bathrooms have impacted my own health www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/a6...
Avoiding Public Bathrooms Damaged My Bladder—Now, As a Trans Man, I’m Finally Letting Go
Inside the emotional and physical toll of holding it in.

Efforts to police bathrooms are evil and will impact peoples' health. Segregated bathrooms themselves must be done away with, it's the only solution. I reported this question out, years ago for @99pi.org 99percentinvisible.org/episode/wher...
Seeing a lot of “now men can say they are trans men to get into the women’s” again today, stop it.
Trans men in women's toilets is not a gotcha, the EHRC code explicitly calls out that trans men (and women) could be excluded from all single sex spaces, in order to protect the sensibilities of other service users, but it all rides on services actually policing those spaces in the first place.
🚨🚨Today the EHRC Code of Practice goes live. Our voices have been ignored. We will not stand for this. We will not stop until our rights are restored. The CoP does not change the law. Inclusion can happen. The vast majority of the public do not want this. WE WILL CONTINUE TO FIGHT 🏳️⚧️✊♥️

Why the hell is the basket man in Wicker played by Alexander Skarsgård and not Hugo Weaving?
Leaders of flag-raising group Raise the Colours Oxfordshire placed trackers on highway workers’ cars to find out their home addresses, the High Court has heard. RTC then attempted to intimidate the highway staff into no longer removing flags by repeating their addresses to them.
Currently at 69% of our target (nice) -- we really need to book Mango & the wonky kittens in for scans & treatment ASAP. So here's our promise: if we hit the goal by the end of the week, we will keep wobbly dwarf kitten Chessie and name her Smolla Paula www.gofundme.com/f/emergency-...
Truly mind-boggling. A paper coming out of a Vietnamese university presented at a computer science conference on how AI can make physiognomy more accurate. Zero mention of how it’s a pseudoscience.
Today has been quite the day for people saying that a dead person who had a hideous public persona was actually capable of empathy and kindness in their personal life.
Fraser Nelson reckons Rod Liddle was “the greatest satirist since Swift” while Michael Gove is comparing him to not just Swift but Orwell. Amazing the comparisons you can get if you’ll pump out exactly the racist opinions even they are too squeamish to commit to print.
There once was a man called Rod Liddle Who sat to the right of the middle The fucker's now dead And I have just read That if he was a teacher he'd diddle
Here's some of his work
I understand that on this site one can incur a ban for celebrating the deaths of irredeemable warts on the arse of humanity, so bearing this in mind I will pass on this news without comment
BREAKING: Sunday Times and Sun columnist Rod Liddle has died aged 66 after a short illness
I just answered my phone and all I could hear were chattering teeth - I think it was a cold caller.
