Maybe if someone else says the thing I've been yelling for years, people will listen. This. She has openly said this. Multiple times. I don't care if you stopped spending money on the franchise, your profile having your Hogwarts House is the equivalent of a swastika.

JKR explicitly said she considers anything Potter-related, even fan-made, endorsement of her politics. And every time you engage with this franchise, you signal to the industry that there's still money in it and they should keep pumping out content from full-cast audiobooks to book box partnerships.

Mayor of NYC is a huge position of power, maybe more powerful than anyone in the country (outside of the White House, ofc) and if regular voters start seeing you can do this job without selling out, they're gonna expect that from all their representatives. Totally gonna sink establishment trash
