Yeah the transition to the Rust version was handled very poorly. If Bun was a serious project: - The Rust version would've been Bun 2.0 - They should have kept the Zig version in LTS mode for another year or so for CVEs, major bugs, etc Eg look how the TypeScript team handled the port to Go.

I especially like the "trivial code changes that meet a threshold of originality", which I capture in my agentic Wardley Map. anything on the left half of the map qualifies as the threshold for original, in other words, "lends competitive advantage". whereas right half is supporting/generic.
