"average WNBA player is worse at basketball than any random trans woman off the street" factoid actually just stastical error Sophie Cunningham, who lives in a cave & costs her team 28 points per game, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

It's not appropriate for cis people to say that trans people are too alarmed, or that certain trans writers are irresponsibly causing trans people to think the sky is falling. I want to take some time in this 🧵 to write personally about how my skies have fallen.

between SFPD storming the trans march on friday and bringing out a whole riot team to violently assault trans people out clubbing on saturday (ZERO articles about this), the brutality during pride weekend is unconscionable. please support everyone who was arrested. if you wanna be an ally, chip in:

Police brutality by SFPD over the weekend led to the arrests and injury of dozens of trans people in San Francisco. Donate to help with their medical and legal fees here: www.gofundme.com/f/support-tr...

A trans girl is not "socialized male" - she's brutalized into hiding herself. What someone is doing when they accuse trans women of "male socialization" is that they are denying us the closet, denying that it is a painful and traumatic experience where the life is choked from us by dysphoria.

When faced with the prospect of a possible lawsuit, many outlets will think twice about their hiring choices. This isn't about merit v. diversity (a stupid construct, IMO). In this climate, even the most qualified women and minority candidates may be passed over to mitigate litigation risk.

These numbers should be amplified everywhere there is a flat surface. The 3,000 person sample size was statistically significant. The direction of travel is positive but runs directly contrary to the perception born in the echo-chamber of Twitter-brained media and politics. (H&CC is a client)

Ireland in Focus draws on multiple sources of data to provide a clearer understanding of how hate, disinformation and far-right mobilisation are evolving across Ireland in
2025. This includes H&CC's analysis of far-right developments in political organising, informal networks and far-right agitators, giving insights into how narratives, mobilisation and organising strategies are emerging and shifting.
company Dynata. The data was independently weighted by Ireland Thinks using demographic and methodological controls such as age, gender, ethnicity and voting behaviour at time of poll fielding to ensure representativeness and statistical robustness. The consistent methodology across both waves allows for reliable year-on-year comparison of sentiment and social trends and the large sample size gives high levels of statistical significance.
Ireland in Focus also draws data from 89 communities' crisis responses (49 in 2024 and 40 in 2025) supported by H&CC to capture how local communities responded in real time to moments of tension, protest and disinformation.
Ireland in Focus, assesses public attitudes through two large, nationally representative, anonymous surveys conducted in 2024 and 2025, each with approximately 3,000 respondents via independent polling
The consistency in design across both years provides a robust basis for tracking how attitudes are shifting - making this one of the first datasets of its kind in Ireland to capture changes in public sentiment over time. Finally to understand how narratives were spreading and evolving in the public sphere, narrative benchmarking was analysed using a commercial social media research tool.

A report by the Hope and Courage Collective, which works to build resilience in communities against rising far-right hate and disinformation, has found a widening gap between public attitudes and political discourse

hi, cis folks! it’s been a little over a month since the 2 biggest private hospitals in NYC ended trans youth care. some folks thought this was resolved with a judge’s ruling or a letter from the NYAG. care has *not* resumed! there’s a simple ask ⬇️ for you, if you’re willing to fight with us. 🧵

NYC parents say Mount Sinai has cut off services for trans kids ahead of federal rule

Tomorrow night many friends and loved ones are doing this for me and it would be lovely if you shared this and tuned in. I don’t even know the full schedule, by design, so I will be as surprised and delighted as you. I am really humbled by the support I’ve gotten. I will try to live up to it.

Remember the incident where DHS claimed officers shot a guy because he attacked them with a snow shovel? Yeah. It didn't happen. They shot him through the door of his own home. And then arrested him. And then lied about it. Again. And they almost shot some kids in the process.

They just blindly shot through the fucking door. "Additional photographs show damage consistent with a bullet fragment lodged in a bedroom wall down the hallway — suggesting it traveled between a mattress and a portable crib in a room where several small children sleep."

I’m ok. I’m a survivor so this small agitator isn’t going to intimidate me from doing my work. I don’t let bullies win. Grateful to my incredible constituents who rallied behind me. Minnesota strong.

any Dem not running on a platform of "every one of these fuckers from top to bottom is going to prison at best" is not worth your time or notice

Voting NO on the DHS funding bill is the bare minimum. Backing Kristi Noem’s impeachment is the bare minimum. Holding law-breaking ICE agents legally accountable is the bare minimum. ICE is beyond reform. Abolish it.
