GODDAMMIT. The iPhone told me it had an update ready to install for iOS 18. But when I clicked, yes, it actually installed iOS 26! Can I roll it back? Can I uninstall it? What would happen if I installed my most recent backup from my computer?
I’m reading a novel where this woman marinates her pot roast before cooking it. I’ve never marinated a pot roast in my life. Is everybody out there marinating pot roast, and nobody told me about it?

This comes back to my thing that we are the most easily connected to millions of people than we have ever been and people still choose to talk to the computer that is programmed to agree with them. They don't actually want connection they just want to be told that they're smart and correct.

When my brother and I were kids, we were at the store with our mom and we were being silly, and in a dramatic voice I said, “It’s time to go. The party’s over.” And there was an old man in front of us who turned quickly and stared and I think it’s because he thought he was hearing the Grim Reaper.
