wild how we're getting a socialized Faces of Death before healthcare, college, free school lunches, or first world public transit.
I'd love to read an article on the history of the Che Guevara t-shirt.

I cannot stress enough that ICE is acting the way cops have acted for years. These are just "starlight tours" for Indigenous teens applied to the rest of the population.
4/ Fernando Vasquez, an 18-year-old citizen, was on break from work when agents chased and handcuffed him, then put him in their truck. After realizing their mistake, the agents left the teen alone in the woods, with no way to get home. Then they threw his ID out of the truck.

I saw this painting in London ~15 years ago. It is indeed very impressive, blown up and jutting out from a wall, and it probably meets the bare minimum of being "transformative" to dodge actual copyright law. But the moment I saw it began my active *disrespect* for Lichtenstein.

I love low art! I love rock music and super-hero comics and detective novels and action flicks! I earnestly wholeheartedly love that stuff. Low art's where it's at!
Just imagining a truly online Batman where he beats up people trying to give chilli to their neighbours while screaming “WHAT IF THEY DON’T HAVE SPOONS”.
They should make a comic where Batman makes a real difference by posting online
Due to hard drive issues, I'm having to put all my CDs back up on iTunes. On the priority list are Braid, Fugazi, Jawbreaker, Elliott's False Cathedrals, Jawbox's Novelty, Hot Water Music's Exister, Slint's Spiderland, Sugar's Copper Blue, MBV's EPs 1988-1991. Everyone else can wait.
I heard there's a sequel to Nosferatu in the works. It's gonna be titled Nosfera2.
Speaking of Moorcock (and Alan Moore earlier). Someone posted a page from a Green Lantern Alan Moore comic and it's like a conversation straight out of an Elric book. Alan Moore pleasing superhero fans by writing them like fantasy novels.

They played a Murder City Devils song earlier today, and played Sleater-Kinney's "Get Up" followed by a JAMC/Hope Sandoval tune just now. Good stuff.
Sub Pop's youtube channel was playing some of their artists' videos. I tuned in on time to see a Metz video. Didn't know they were signed to Sub Pop. Good song, not sure I liked (or understood) the video. youtu.be/krGDNbT4CSE?...

Hasan is right actually Don't forget that the US bombed the Municipality of Utuado in Puerto Rico in 1950 to silence Pro Independence voices during an uprising. Or when colonial police gunned down peaceful Nationalist protesters (including children) in Ponce in 1937 as another way to silence them.
Left-wing streamer Hasan Piker tells Axios he believes America conducts more terrorism in the world than al-Qaeda. www.axios.com/2026/09/17/h...
"What if we create super-intelligences that out-think us, outlive us, take control of all our resources, and decide to enslave us?" You fucking dummies, we've already done that, they're called corporations.
"Your brains stop developing at age 25" was a press misrepresentation of a study. They wanted to see if brains continued to develop after adolescence, so the study was capped at age 25. A later study with a wider subject pool showed that brains are ALWAYS developing our whole lives.
this is why it's my pet peeve fake science fact. It's absolute bs! nothing happens to brains at age 25, they do not "fully mature". you will notice that many societies have an age of majority or coming-of-age or whatever and none of them have ever chosen mid-20s.
May I remind everyone that there is currently NO cure for rabies. May I also remind everyone there is absolutely NO scientific proof connecting ANY vaccine that we produce today with autism. This is true regarding vaccination in both humans AND in dogs. Vaccinate your pets please.
Tossing my two-cents in: I'm a millennial who read Hitchhiker's Guide for the first time about eight years or so ago. I found it enjoyable! There were probably a dozen or so lines that made me at least chuckle out loud. But I didn't fall head over heels in love with it like some have.
Gonna be a crazy day in our parsley bed, looks like.
