I don't find the "AI tools train you to rely on them" thing very compelling, like yeah, that's how good tools work. It sucks when someone takes away your phillips screwdriver or your autocomplete IDE or google search for APIs. What you're saying when you say it is actually "It's a good tool."
We're post-scarcity on glassware (the glass often costs less than the drink in it) and its cool to see exactly why.

At some point in the past 2 years a lot of the stuff in the “cheap crap” category on Amazon stopped being crap and started being really good and I’m not sure anyone noticed
Looks like a 10-15 point polling miss in Michigan regardless of who wins. And people have been writing a lot of electability takes using this data. It’s dangerous out there folks be safe
To pick a more serious example... Wikipedia is more accurate than Encyclopedia Britannica, is free, universally accessible, and vastly comprehensive. I sometimes tell my tenth graders that they have better access to information today than FDR did during WWII.
Have we considered we’re not good a polling? Like the overs are by so far it says the underlying polling models are *fucked*. Like we are just not sampling well enough to calibrate models.
