That the race itself was a bunch of formerly isolated planes trying to wield soft power over each other now that they're connected was such good worldbuilding.

Looking through the Aetherdrift cards while trying (and failing) to work on an assignment for one of my classes, and like, I'm sorry, that set was an all-caps BANGER. In retrospect, Aetherdrift was a really ambitious Magic set, especially in it's theme, variety, and art direction

There's a Macca's planned for down the road in Northcote, and normally I'd be against such a thing except: 1. It's replacing a derelict building that's been rotting there for years, and anything would be better 2. The protest group uses AI for their flyers

Usually when October rolls around I've got some sort of hyperfixation going and that turns into a Halloween costume at the end of the month. This year I'm so burned out by everything that I'll probably just throw random shit together and come up with something like:

For a show I won't watch, I can't stop thinking about the potential performance of the HBO Harry Potter series. Like they're trying to recapture the Pottermania of the 2000s via the most expensive show of all time, after years of JK going full TERF and the spinoff films failing. It's fascinating.
