In Leeds, streets are being temporarily closed to traffic so kids have more space to safely play - an initiative proving beneficial to both children and adults.

A little bit of green can make a big change. Observe the contrast on the same street. The asphalt road registered 33 degrees Celsius, while the newly installed semi-hardened parking lots showed a considerably lower temperature of 21 degrees Celsius. 📸 Gina Kranendonk, Rotterdam 🇳🇱

Had some postcards printed of some of my horrible doodles/ paintings. If you fancy any, I shall be dragging them up to the Edinburgh Fringe next week. If you don’t fancy them, they shall be turning up on your doorstep anyhow, like that book in The Babadook.

I cannot go into more detail without ruining a joke from my show.

For the 5th consecutive year child casualties have flat-lined at around 13,000 road casualties of age 16 and under. In what other area of life would the death or injury of 13,000 children be "acceptable"? The government has a Road Safety Strategy that aims to reduce child KSIs by 70%.

Before (2008) / After (2026) Rue des Orteaux in the 20th arrondissement of Paris. A rare (for the moment) case of two-step greening of the street archived in StreetView : the trees on the right were planted around 2010, the ones on the left on 2025 !
