I feel like there's a "rot" in the voiceover industry right now. It's something that's probably always been there, but I think it's been progressively getting worse. There's this strange attitude that can basically be summed up as, "F*ck y'all. I got mine." And I'd like to talk about it. 🧵

There's a strong chance you're not gonna meet plenty of the other actors you're working with in voiceover, unless you're doing constant convention appearances or are fortunate enough to do group sessions. I still think you should consider those actors, invisible as they seem, to be colleagues.

Every time I bring up to people that Mihoyo is absolutely rife and putrid with AI they all respond with "only Genshin tho not [insert whatever game they want here]" and I'm like NO???? It's in ALL of it. They aren't just using it to "confirm code" or whatever other excuses I've heard, either.
