They’re still going. Can you imagine the response, if the Guardian or the Independent had flown someone out to interview Slobodan Milosevic or Saddam Hussein, and promoted their denunciations of the government as urgent, pressing news content?

Benjamin Netanyahu speaks to NATALIE LISBONA in an exclusive interview: 'I don't know how many lives we've saved by giving Britain information about impending attacks.
But under Burnham they're a rogue state'

I hate to sound bitter but can you imagine how much we would have saved if the Tories hadn't banned onshore wind in England and actually utilised the low interest environment to do some infrastructure spending

Don't worry, it's not as if we've allowed City Group to own (or operate) 9 other football clubs worldwide. I'm sure they only cheated at City and all of those other 9 clubs are absolutely untainted and operated totally fairly.

City’s statement is pure entitlement that can’t begin to fathom that they can’t continue to do whatever they like. Like doesn’t everyone understand how many lawyers they could hire?!

Manchester City supporters (and the people of Manchester) should be furious. Because the first people who have had the piss taken out of them is them. Even now the City statement takes the piss. You are meant to back this pile of bullshit, it says. You are meant to back it unquestionably.

"They are a financially doped club. "They have enhancement of performances through financial resources which are unlimited. For me, it's a kind of doping because it's not in any way linked to their resources." Arsene Wenger re: Chelsea in 2005. Same shit, different club.

Subsequent British governments seem to be determined to destroy Britain's lingering international cultural capital. I can only assume the rich hate the idea of ordinary folk succeeding in the arts and will happily burn down the whole industry rather than give ground.
