I'm sure this is a long-shot, but if anyone has a gas-powered sump pump they can spare, I've got a family in my neighborhood with water almost up to their basement ceiling who sure could use it. If so, email me at knoxdalemerivale@ottawa.ca

Here in #OttCity I’d guess half our LRT runs thru miles of greenbelt/farmland or is buried along a river, and/or has stations orphaned at highway off-ramps. This was a conscious choice, to hamstring dev because it was cheap. Inept planning, lack of leadership to see value.

Through an FOI request, I got a copy of the unreleased Ottawa Speed Zone Policy Update (page 158). Lots to read through! sjamieit.github.io/files/A20260... They also included the existing 2009 Speed Zoning Policy, and it has some... interesting mocking and dismissal of complaints about speeding.
