My few figs have been falling before they ripen ☹️. And my mulberries are in fruit again, which is terrifying because there are still 4 huge bags in the freezer. So I picked & trimmed the green figs & the ripe mulberries & made 1 perfect jar of green fig & mulberry jam.

Yarn. I can buy stunning independently or small business dyed yarns from around the world. Colors and textures that beginning knitter me could never have imagined.

In order to hit the moon, you have to aim wholeheartedly for the stars beyond it. The key to happiness is to then be truly and deeply satisfied with the moon. To realize that aiming for the stars is what got you that far. It isn't a failure. You reached the *moon*, dangit.

Just got the hiccups while doing speech to text, and the middle of my sentence said “Barry’s fairies, berries, varies, fairies.”

I got very mixed up this morning. I got up to work out, put my phone and my water on the elliptical, and then inexplicably took a shower. Now it feels like I need to wait a little while before I work out, just to enjoy the cleanness from my shower briefly! 🤪

I feel like Bluesky is not the same without @wombat37.bsky.social . My feed is full of politics, & it’s hard to filter or block because it’s people I know & like posting. But the part I love is folks just talking about their day & thinking about their lives & the good & bad & medium stuff in them.

Meatball needs a loving, caring home. He is a sweet, gentle boy who needs to be a permanent indoor cat, as he has FiV, which is a very manageable and uncomplicated chronic illness. He can even live with non-FIV cats! I will deliver him personally within a 3 hour drive of Detroit. Please! I love him

it's not just that means testing unfairly gatekeeps care from people on the edges of the economic goldilocks zone. the logic ripples out through culture and influences how we talk about poverty, race, and disability. we do not talk about helping people without first talking about who not to help.
