Beautiful Brilliant Tim The original confident, seductive, naughty, hilarious, sexy, brat, Jagger, Bowie, Mercury all borrowed his aspects of his Rocky persona. We did a crappy, straight to video, 2 pay bills But we had a phenomenal time & I fell in love with him of course as did everyone 🖤🎶🕊️

I've never seen anything like it. Salta, Argentina, has just recorded its hottest night on record during the climatologically coldest time of the year. The minimum overnight temperature did not fall below 26°C (78.8°F), pulverizing the previous monthly record by 7°C.
It's hard to predict what Parliament would look like under a system where people can vote for what they truly believe in. But one thing is clear: First Past the Post distorts election results and undermines trust in democracy. It's time for change.

Oh this is a shame. Ed was a brilliant broadcaster and one of the Radio 4 voices that has become so familiar to me. A good life, well lived. Broadcaster and journalist Edward Stourton dies aged 68 www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...

Hard to think of a more deeply damaging start to Burnham’s premiership than giving green light to new oil & gas in N. Sea, if true. It won’t lower bills or lead to greater energy security but will drive an even hotter planet. What a terrible signal to give to rest of the world #ClimateVandalism

Torn. I think Robbins was treated very roughly. But I also tend to think that very highly paid people in very senior roles are unusual cases where a lot of the usual employment protections shouldn’t really apply.
Breaking news: Olly Robbins, the Foreign Office chief summarily sacked by Keir Starmer over the Peter Mandelson affair, is seeking a judicial review of his treatment in what will be seen in Whitehall as a landmark case. ft.trib.al/koQG0yF
I wish publishers would stop doing this. Don't have a story about death prefixed with 'LIVE'. Use 'More' or 'Update'. Also, the sense of urgency the 'live' marker brings feels wrong for a sad occasion, and there isn't anything in the story progress which is going to change the basic fact of death.
'hundreds of thousands of new homes to be built' if it wasn't for newts and bats Howard is a daft as a bat and pissed as a newt. hundreds of thousands - utter tosh
We need to talk about poor journalism and blatant misinformation. Tom Howard published this article in The Times today with the rage bait title ‘Scrap newt and bat rules to ease London housing crisis ministers told’ which is more than just bad journalism, it’s actually an embarrassing mistake🧵
Times report on BBC investigation into people-smuggling… Lots of talk of “losing” access to critical information. Rather than Johnson not bothering to secure it. And Farage wanting an even harder Brexit. The stubborn refusal to face the consequences of our own govt’s stupid choices has become absurd

Requiem For Long Wave, As The BBC Goes Silent

"The Americans can't get the slime out of their capital's monument pool and will arrest you for touching it," sounds like the sort of lie they'd tell us in the Soviet Union so we'd stop bitching about bread lines.
So many cyclist deaths begin with a stationary driver blocking the bike lane. The disconnect between cyclists, who see this as a life-threatening reckless action, and drivers, who see this is a minor parking infraction, is what often leads to discord.
It will be seven years, on June 24th, that my 20-year-old daughter Robyn lost their life doing bicycle messenger work in New York City, when a for-hire driver blocked the bicycle lane and the speeding distracted driver of a box truck knocked them to the ground and then crushed them into the road.

If rumours are to be believed I'll be living with a seventh different Prime Minister shortly. If it carries on like this I'm going to stop making the effort to learn their names.
I'm sure this event will have lots of varied opinions and won't just be a moanfest about how it's all the EU's and Remainers' fault. Morning.
After a decade of hunting without success for the Brexit unicorn, five of the most pointless people in Britain get together to whinge about how it’s all somebody else’s fault. What a treat.
