Well whatta you know? Speed cameras in Oakland reduced speeding by about 80% on the treated corridors, essentially the same result as the speed cameras in San Francisco. Seems like a pretty successful policy, if you ask me.

As long as there are unprotected bike lanes in Hillcrest, there will always be plenty of parking for cars with no risk of a ticket. Unprotected bike lanes in San Diego shouldn't even count as bike lanes.

Two big fears as a writer in this moment. 1. Getting falsely accused of having used “AI” in your work. 2. Getting something published and finding out the publisher used “AI” in the editing or art or marketing, etc. I agree with Bree, it’s an attack on social constructs and mechanisms of trust.
Bree (half of Kit Rocha)@mostlybree.kitrocha.com · 3w agoI'm just gonna say: it somewhat baffles me that people who are understandably skeptical of opaque LLMs as legitimate sources of information will suddenly go full on "the computer KNOWS" when they are using opaque tools to "detect" AI. The computer does not know.
Usually venue concessions are trash, but when you come to Petco Park or Rady Shell, you realize how spoiled you are with good options in San Diego 🥲
