There's a certain kind of leftist who thinks "negotiation" is a magic spell. If you're really good at it, and say the right words, then the other side will just go "yes, that sounds reasonable". In reality, negotiation is about finding an agremeent that *both* parties prefer over no agreement.

These aren't the main points but having been a diplomat: a) Diplomats don't scale in effectiveness with numbers. Who do you think the 43rd member of your delegation is going to be negotiating with, the hotel concierge? b) "Figure out how to negotiate" is really insulting to some talented people.

Nogle gange hader jeg at min hjerne fungerer som den gør. Jeg har *virkelig* svært ved at læse beskeder til mig fra semi-fremmede, hvis det på nogen måde vedrører mig selv. De sidste par dage har det været bankrådgiver, bestyrelse i ejendommen samt en gut der muligvis vil tilbyde mig et job.

Have a broad set of interests and a curiosity about how the world works. If your only interest is games you can only recreate existing games. Which I guess was fine for video games for a while, but you will only ever work on other people’s games.

Det her er min aller største pet peeve. Bla synes jeg, at parkeringspladser og veje ikke skal gøres bredere og at der skal uddeles flere bøder for at parkere udenfor stregerne. Jeg synes også, at nogle veje skal lukkes for brede biler. Det skulle man have kalkuleret ind i sit bilvalg.

The narrativising of this is kind of maddening. OpenAI's model didn't "break free and hack HuggingFace." Meta's model didn't "break free and hack another company." Tech companies are blatantly doing illegal acts and saying their AI did it on it's own as a promotional stunt. That's it.
