For me, horror is ALL about the past. Things we've neglected and forgotten, hidden secrets, echoes of past regrets. While I do enjoy some "fear of what's coming" horror, as a historian, there's just so much to mine in history. We all live atop a graveyard of tragedy and horror. #HorrorWritersChat

#HorrorWritersChat A lot of my general history has had an impact, in terms of my Irish forebearers' experience in the US (diaspora, class struggle). Some of my experiences with class conflict and chauvinist behaviors also turn up in a lot of my work.
