Anyone who understands the implications has a strong incentive to avoid seeking help unless they are desperate, which reinforces the bias of providers and our belief in involuntary care

I think this language or something similar was previously deployed by the Vatican to denounce the existence of trans people. Now they want to frame environmentalism in terms of exactly this language.

We expect everyone to roll over to protect American lives, as if the natural response when invaded by a ceaselessly violent foreign country isn't to fight back.
