I'd love your input. What tips you over the edge from a MAYBE to I MUST PREORDER NOW when it comes to books? 🌱 Monstera is out 10/13, and I usually do a preorder campaign where you get a signed bookplate and a variety of my book stickers and postcards, but I want to know what YOU really want!

We’ve played #Everdell twice recently again and I love it. It’s just so pretty! And sweet. And not stressful in any way... other than losing, lol. I came in 2nd the other day and 3rd tonight (out of 4). It’s so fun building a little forest village with forest creatures, I don’t mind.

A wood dining table with the Everdell game laid out on it with a green “meadow” game board with cards on it, an “ever tree” at the back in the center, made from pretty cardboard game board materials, with player “cities” laid out around it. Mine is on the back right. Plus there is a brown/gray tabby kitty the background sitting in the game box lid next to the empty game box bottom. The tabby is Trixie, named for Trixie Belden, but she is still often called Kitten or Little Cat because she is the smol baby cat of the family. Our black kitty Jack was sitting next to her for a while in the now empty box but bailed in order to get out his zoomies.

Everdell is SO pretty and I love the concept of building small forest villages (they call them “cities”) with little characters and neat structures

Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.

Shootings happen in Oakland more often than you know. They don't get national attention. Last week, not far from where I live, 25 year-old Kimarii McLemore was shot and killed at school in attack that's assumed to be targeted. She was scheduled to graduate her carpentry program later in the day.
