I appreciate that Dolly Parton refused to participate in "dress respectability" and, by her own account, modeled her aesthetic after a town "tramp," who she thought was beautiful. She separated aesthetics from character and understood "classiness" to be about how you treat people, not how you dress.

This entire disgusting situation with Arday has shown the horrible priorities of a society built for the ruling class. Our press isn't free, and it is used solely and exclusively to pursue the interests of the ruling class which owns it.

Something I’ve been working on that’s now in the final proof-reading stage: the first ever completion of Liszt’s unfinished and virtually unknown ‘Revolutionary Symphony’. If anybody knows an orchestra or conductor willing to give the premiere, hit me up!! jeremybcullen.substack.com/p/the-comple...

JK Rowling referred to Posie Parker as a "genius" years ago, in her capacity as an an anti-trans leader in her movement. Posie appeared at a Tommy Robinson march on the weekend calling for Islam to be banned in the UK. You'd think a mainstream journalist might seek a quote from Rowling on it, right?

TAPPING THE SIGN: trans issues are important not only because trans people are cool, but also as a vital litmus test of someone's politics: do they stand with the oppressed against conservatism and patriarchy, embracing the beauty and diversity of our human community or are they a fucking fascist

Rep AOC: "republicans, who have voted consistently against the violence against women's act, who have taken the rights of all women to have control over their own body, who as women are bleeding out in parking lots, now want to pretend today that they care about women."

Taking a break from Meta in protest at their new hate-enabling content moderation policies. Zuck says that people like me are just ‘virtue signalling’. That hurt, Mark! You know what didn’t hurt? Deleting Threads because it fucking sucks.
