El-Sayed: "Once a government agency like ICE is told it has impunity to do the worst things and violate the highest law of the land, which is the Constitution itself, I don't think you can reform or retrain. I think we need to start from scratch ... I think we need to abolish it."

Republican Racists & Bigots doing #CultureWars to distract their wealth transfers from the non rich to the rich GOP Rage Baiting cycles over the years Blacks, Blacks, Blacks. Then Gays, Gays, Gays. Then Muslims, Muslims, Muslims. Then Immigrants, Immigrants, Immigrants Now Trans, Trans, Trans.

Careful me that foreigner wants your cookie! Rupert Murdoch to some working guy who has one cookie and a black guy who has none while Murdoch has an overfilling plate of cookies how Republicans and conservatives do culture wars to disguise their transfer of wealth from the non-rich to their rich donor owners to make everybody else poorer

I need people to understand that for the last half decade that there’s been an ecosystem of trans folks in sports media who have worked unpaid to serve as experts for context, sources and educators on what it’s like for trans athletes, in hopes of potential bylines and contacts. That’s dried up.

I hate sounding like a conspiracy person but there’s a reason that this Sophie Cunningham thing is on like day 7 of discourse and how there’s absolutely very little trans staff writers driving the news coverage of it.

I spoke with 10 CNNers about David Ellison's essay in The NYT, in which he tried to convince the public he'll be a good steward of CNN. Suffice to say, no one at the network is buying what he's selling. “We all have eyes and ears and see what’s happening at CBS." www.status.news/p/david-elli...

The Ellison Credibility Crisis

The Paramount boss tried to convince the public he can be trusted with CNN. But staffers inside the network torched his Times essay in brutal comments to Status, pointing to his disastrous record at C...

Sen. Thune is counting votes & knows exactly how many “hall passes” he can hand out to vulnerable Republicans & still carry the vote. This is not principled opposition from Susan Collins. It’s political theater. OTOH, Trump is so thin skinned that he will probably do something stupid and attack her.

📌Susan Collins is voting "no" on the repulsive Blanche because she has been given political cover by Thune. Her vote doesn't matter. This isn't a heroic decision, it is pure politics, and whether anybody wants to admit it or not it's how she has survived like a parasite in that chamber for 30 years.

I did not work countless hours in an ICU full of proned patients and go back to my hotel crying because we lost more patients in a day than a typical week to hear a moron with a worm in his brain say that the ICU's were empty. I AM SO FUCKING ANGRY.

I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.

12 year old girls get genital inspections "for their safety" while wife beaters get endorsed for re-election. This whole protecting women and girls thing is a bit confusing.

In a conference call hosted by the White House Faith Office on July 30 with thousands of religious leaders around the country, Blanche said he was committed to achieving policy solutions so that the U.S. Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision “becomes permanent in every single state.”

The recording of Blanche's call with faith leaders hosted by the White House Faith Office was still live as of a few hours ago, but has since been taken down.
