I have officially become obsessed with Chinese vertical dramas on TikTok. There's something about having Chinese actors in Imperial China talking about the Qingpeng Dynasty but everyone is named Rosalind and Julian that scratches my lizard brain.

I think it’s craven to run Todd Howard fluff pieces before the body is even cold on those thousands of jobs.

Another reminder: if there exists *any* class of people who don't have due process rights, then *nobody* actually has due process rights because the government can always just say you're in that class.

A US-born woman born was confronted by sheriff deputies in Louisiana who were convinced her ID and social security card were fakes. They turned her over to ICE, who shackled her & took her an hour away. Even after a lawyer convinced ICE of the woman's citizenship the sheriff says they did no wrong

The fact that nobody seriously believes there is an institution in this country that will check the president—that we’re all just sitting here hoping that he gets distracted and fails to follow through on his genocidal threats—is the most damning indictment of our political system I’ve seen yet.

This is also why abolishing ICE does not go far enough. The entire department must be dismantled because by and large, ICE is just one tentacle of the sea monster.

I hate this idea that gen ai in the early stages of development is okay as long as there isn't gen AI assets in the final game. Everything in early development informs the final game. I don't want this to become the norm 🫩
