Went in for sudden onset fluid/pain/swelling in my lower leg. Was told I must have sprained my ankle in my sleep – and got billed for it of course! (Reader, it *was* lupus)

I think about all the lakes and rivers and waterways in cities that used to be running jokes about toxic sludge and now are swimmable. Also we did kind of fix the whole ozone layer situation. Plus way fewer people smoke cigarettes!

The point is to protect folks who are especially vulnerable to deadly diseases by preventing such diseases? We live in a society and so forth?
Not a big fan of the "sick, elderly and/or disabled people don't count" discourse that appears to follow public health disasters these days.

The WNBA product is so, so good. And there are enough people who want to consume it without wanting to embrace that fact that it's a league built by Black and queer athletes. CC gave them a way in that made them feel more comfortable, Cunningham is letting them wave their bigot flag proudly.
We already have a shitty, exclusionary place in sports: it's called men's sports. They built it like that on purpose. Let them own it and figure that out for themselves. Women's sports were built in opposition to that structure, built for inclusion. The WNBA has represented the best of that.
