this is an example of the thing i talk about in that it sucks how trans people are constantly forced to be diplomats to cis people because there's a good chance you might be one of the only trans people they've consciously met, but precisely for that reason there's an outsized humanizing effect imo.

The idea that we can assent to the taking away of anybody’s rights, and think that somehow the government won’t come for all of our rights, is itself the problem. And, look, I don’t need people to understand how they use their rights. I just need people to agree that the government shouldn’t be able to take any of our rights. I put my face on the ground thirty-four times a day, David. Most people don’t understand why I do it. I don’t need them to understand. I just want to have the right to do it. And when people decide that they want to take away my right to do that, I’ve got a problem.Now, I hope that everybody’s going to show up and say, No, no, no. You can’t stop that person or that community from reflecting and praying as they choose. Similarly, when it comes to trans rights, this is the right to get the health care that you need. That’s really what it comes down to. It’s the right to be who you are. It’s the right not to be discriminated against by your government because of who you are. Because what tends to happen is they come for theirs, then they come for yours, then they come for theirs. And at some point you live in a society where rights are negotiable, and that is not the America I was born in. It’s not the America I know and love. It’s not the America I’m going to allow somebody like Donald Trump to give us.

In other words, NYT is increasingly becoming a gaming and recipe company, with revenue from that business helping subsidize the higher costs of their journalism (which has been weaponized in favor of trans genocide). They depend on liberals not caring enough to boycott them.

am i allowed to talk about how weird it is that the main way liberals philantropize trans people is by donating money to liberal nonprofits for call centers that beg us not to kill ourselves, instead of directly funding our material needs which, when deprived, lead to suicidality? is that allowed?

Sorry i meant to say we need more celebrities to donate $100 million to suicide hotlines so we can call someone who will beg us not to kill ourselves when the state takes away our medication and housing, and then send the cops to our home if we say the wrong series of words. My bad.

It’s kind of incredible how bad this story has gotten in a little over 48 hours, and there don’t seem to be any signs of it slowing down. I rarely weigh in on the politics on the other side of the river, but I think this situation is rapidly becoming untenable for the mayor and the city.

Here’s what we do. Got a trans-supportive shirt/sign/whatever? Wear/bring it to Target Center on Sunday. Don’t have game tix? Quietly/visibly chill outside the arena pregame. Spread out. Don’t engage those people, tho. Just be there. If you’re media, ask about it. Ask Cheryl, at least. 1/2

Oh, so those girls at the Seattle Storm game were being obnoxious the entire time trying to provoke people and filming the reactions for content. Of course.

At another point she said she’s never even been to a WNBA game. ​They were arguing with security through the entire game and made sure to record themselves every time, not sure what they were arguing with them about. And at the end of the game one of the girls said something to a guy, he responded and the girl started running at him through the aisles. The older women finally got what they wanted and ran over screaming with their phones out already recording. ​Also overheard them talking about how they strategically positioned themselves to get as much time on the Tv broadcast as possible and something about a podcast they are trying to drive people to."

for real tho, i hate that when trans people point out, in very measured and clear language that acting like structurally transphobic entities are neutral because they aren't like, tearing us apart in the streets to cis people, that cis people get so fucking defensive and freak out on us

there literally are no good-faith concerns about trans girls participating in high school sports. it is children playing games with their friends, its about confidence and relationship-building. let kids play with their friends.

Good-faith concern on this issue would be going, "hmm, professional sports leagues should probably have some standards in place to ensure trans competitors aren't getting an unfair advantage," googling for 5 minutes, realizing every sports league already has those standards and dropping it.

I have been following the story of St. Paul Mayor Kaoly Her’s repeated sexual harassment of city employees, and in light of this statement it is clearly time for her to resign her position as mayor. This is a breach of ethics and trust, and for Her to refer to it as “attempts at humor” is galling.

It reads: “Mayor Kaohly Her: As Mayor, I take my responsibility to treat every employee with professionalism and respect very seriously. I recognize that some of my attempts at humor fell short of the standard I expect of myself. We have fully cooperated with the independent investigation since it began in April and will continue to do so. I respect the investigative process and believe it is important to allow it to reach its conclusion.
