There are more people who've parlayed middling athletic prospects into profitable careers decrying the inclusion of trans women in sports than there are trans women in sports.
Like I’ve literally just spent I don’t know how many hours on Amazon NOT looking for the cheapest sheets and trying to scroll through reviews/descriptions to find ones that are good quality, not the cheapest, which won’t end up with holes in them in a year what are you fucking talking about man?

And it turns out that what people really want is cheap disposable goods, not more expensive but higher quality stuff that lasts a long time.
I once had a longtime criminal defense attorney tell me he felt guilty people often said “there’s no way this could have happened because of X, Y and Z,” instead of ”this did not happen because I did not do it.”

I made dinner for my abuser a bunch of times. You have to play nice while you're planning your escape so you don't get dead. Max Miller is a textbook abuser.
I got overambitious and decided to bleach my hair today (right before a new job! of course) it was predictably a disaster and I'm blaming Hannah Waddingham (I've been binging Ride or Die) for inspiring me to the point of delusion. Those lewks!

I had friends who had to wait tables (masked! Distanced! Bullshit!) the whole time because people couldn’t just cook for themselves and support unemployment payments. They didn’t get a fucking lockdown that’s for sure.

Having to pick up your Applebees and eat it on the sectional does not count. There wasn't even a brief moment where "everything" was closed. That's not real.
In case anyone is wondering why a woman might offer to cook dinner for her abuser… it might be to keep herself and her child alive.

As I survey the houseplants that I have killed because they do better with shade this seems…not all that surprising? Like I think Americans forget that deserts weren’t really meant for growing stuff like this and more isn’t always better with sun & plants.

I had my car broken into and laptop stolen in front of a police station in San Francisco and when I walked in to report the crime the officer on duty asked what I wanted him to do about it

It is funny that as more people get duped by AI, the response more frequently seems to be to insist that the models are developing godlike intelligence and we all need to be sooo careful when the real lesson is clearly that the human psyche can get absolutely one-shotted by personalized flattery
