I've said this before; anyone in a political leadership position who isn't making climate change their primary focus is delinquent in their job, and ensuring deaths. There cannot be any clearer signs we need to take urgent, immediate, drastic action. The planet is literally on fire.

Acid rain, CFCs, leaded petrol - they got fixed but not by most of us doing anything at all. It's in the back of our heads that sooner or later the grownups come & fix it & we carry on as before. We have to grow up & accept that, while we should fight to do it fairly, it isnt someone else's problem.
This also works well as it counters the ‘it’s too late’ narrative. Yes it’s too late for a cheap easy transition, that boat has sailed, but the faster we can stop burning stuff the better. Making it sound as if survival means you’d have to live like a medieval serf isn’t changing behaviour.
