Just thinking about this as the state harasses Ilhan Omar over 40 year old paperwork.

Elon Musk, enemy of ‘open borders,’ launched his career working illegally

Investors in Musk’s first company worried about “our founder being deported” and gave him a deadline for obtaining a work visa.

its very convenient when people admit their crimes like this, if only there were actually going to be consequences, its a shame crime is legal

Stephen Miller’s podcaster wife had to double back after overplaying her hand. Katie Miller quickly deleted a post on X gloating over the ICE raid on Minnesota Democratic Rep. Ilhan Omar’s Washington, D.C., home on Monday, (cont.) www.thedailybeast.com/katie-miller...

Collecting statements by Minnesotan politicians in this thread.

for as long as i've been alive, republicans have ran the same playbook: a few weeks before voting begins, they roll out completely fabricated smear campaigns. these things are always coordinated, so the talking points take over the news. the party is never electorally punished for their dishonesty.

Minnesota stands with @ilhanmn.bsky.social 🩵 No president should be able to weaponize the federal government against his political enemies. 📍 New Rally Location 📣 Join us at 4:00pm today at Powderhorn Park Rec Center to stand with @repilhan.bsky.social and all Somali Minnesotans. #IStandWithIlhan

Look forward to hearing a statement today from Senator Klobuchar expressing her support for Rep Ilhan Omar regarding this political sham investigation. A list of those who remain silent will be maintained. Consider that a political threat.

"What Trump is doing now is next level. He’s not just attacking Somali residents. Rather, he’s calling for Minnesotans to attack them as well. And of course, it’s all based on absolute lies." — @snipy.bsky.social

Trump wants a race war. Minnesotans won’t take the bait.

We love our Somali neighbors.

ICE has been ordered to make 3,000 arrests a day — 1,000 more than before. Secret courts in FEMA buildings. Shock gloves on agents. Nonprofit surveillance. 25 days before the midterms. This is deliberate.

Friendly reminder/pro tip. If you’re complaining about the current president/politics - don’t just blame Trump. Blame Republicans. Because he’s the one at the top, but they’re *all* supporting and enabling him. We need to cement that in voters minds. Trump bad = Republicans bad.

Why does she look like Rachel Danis so much

Kelly Barnhill@kellybarnhill.bsky.social · 5d ago

Look. There are a lot of reasons why no one should vote for Gavin Newsom. But the fact that he was once married to this cheesy, smarmy, grifting, corrupt proto-fascist is definitely one of them. Also, because once upon a time, the two of them posed for this terrible photograph.

This is the GOP playbook. Do a crappy job governing, then use the poor performance as an excuse to cut.

Millions of taxpayer dollars spent on violence prevention efforts in Minneapolis are facing deep cuts following a critical internal audit.

Getting reports of bad election ideas in Signal groups. Defend democracy by shooting these down. No, you can’t show up at a precinct & be a challenger/observer. Those must be appointed by a party, nonpartisan campaign or ballot initiative. Letter must be accepted by officials. No letter, out you go.

Donation advice for the close Minnesota State Senate races. You don’t need to donate to the ones who already hit their spending cap! The ones below are the ones that could really use your help. If you’re going to, do it soon so they can put the money to use!

You'd think that the Democratic party would be making hay over their opposition's biggest donor fighting to let his bot keep making revenge porn.

I recommend people read this to get a sense of the president's grave cognitive impairment. Trump is either unwilling or unable (or maybe both) to answer the questions he's actually asked, so he just rants and raves while the interviewers do their best to provide structure to his random brain firings

An underdog facing a political lion in a blue state, Lisa Demuth is doing her absolute darndest to make Amy Klobuchar guilty by DFL association for not stopping fraud. But her political journey — and case for governor — is a far richer story.

Noteworthy racism: DOJ/DHS said they arrested people from Liberia, Ghana, and Brazili for illegally voting. But they didn't mention the white South African, Lithuanian, Canadian, German, or Bosnian who they also arrested and charged.

Are Blanche and Mullin drunk? Seems like they're both having trouble speaking clearly in this press conference. Especially Mullin, it's like his mouth is gonna fall off his face.

For sure. And Keith isn’t helping matters by hitching his wagon to candidates like Shar*n El Am*n. I mean sure I guess send her to the county if you think things are going well for Minneapolis schools, who are closing 16(!!!) schools 😬

I am concerned about the MN AG race. For the first time the MNGOP has, as near as I can tell, nominated a vaguely center right lawyer instead of a wild theocratic ideologue lawyer. And there are plenty of squishy centrist racist islamophobes looking for a reason to split the ticket.
