SARS-CoV-2 did not come from a lab. There is no evidence pointing to laboratory origins. There’s been a massive disinformation campaign to convince the public otherwise. It’s scary how effective that campaign has been.

My most unpopular opinion is that not every book has historical and cultural significance and it is not, in fact, morally wrong to shred books. There are a shit ton of books out there that are "old" and "rare" and it's fine to shred them. They're in the Library of Congress probably.

I get the sense that a lot of people feel on some level that there must be a way to optimize things to the point where there’s a Good Option where no one has to suffer anything and it’s like… No, no, sometimes the best available option that does the least damage still sucks ass, welcome to adulthood

it’s pretty obvious that a lot of people remember that COVID lockdowns were unpleasant and from there just extrapolate that they were therefore bad policy

If the entire Democratic Party is being asked by the press and pundits about a few DSA candidates in NYC, it seems like the entire Republican Party should be asked about their colleague who has been credibly accused -- by another colleague's daughter -- of repeated acts of violence.

It's weird, when you look back on the coverage of Jackie Robinson integrating Major League Baseball, there weren't a lot of these sympathetic pieces about the fans practicing their rights of freedom of speech by screaming the N-word at him. Progress!
