One problem with framing the coming "court reform" in neutral terms is that it, in fact, normalizes things that, in normal times, would actually be monstrous violations of judicial independence
Beau and I are often at loggerheads about judicial review or legal realism or whatever but he's absolutely right about this and I think it's genuinely kind of important for there to be people saying it
