Yesterday's news about Jacob Geller broke my heart, so much that I couldn't stop dwelling on it all day. In an effort to make sense of this horrific news and my admittedly complicated feelings about it, here is my article on the Jacob Geller situation: epiloguegaming.com/what-do-we-d...

What Do We Do With Jacob Geller? - Epilogue Gaming

Earlier this week, a friend noticed Jacob Geller’s book, How A Game Lives, sitting amongst my living room shelves. Under almost any other circumstances, this would have been an exciting invitation for...

And here's my review of The Witcher 3 - Remastered. An update to a game I've now played for over 600 hours. One that wasn't asked for, but is subtly brilliant in its execution - and makes me wish we could return to games of the past more often www.gamesradar.com/games/the-wi...

The Witcher 3 Remastered review: "An exceptional update that refines the rough edges to make a great RPG even better"

The sprawling RPG has simply never been better

Shocked, horrified, saddened, betrayed, and most importantly sad for this poor girl who had to watch a predator become a successful, respected YouTuber. Feel like I'm getting a taste of what women deal with all the time. Of COURSE they'd choose the bear.

Jacob Geller is no longer a part of MinnMax. He won't be on content moving forward and we won't be publicly airing this week's episode of The MinnMax Show. We're in shock and deeply hurt. Thank you for your patience during this sensitive time.

I am confident in one thing: the outpouring of support Stop Caring and myself have received in the last few days have made it clear the publiction will continue, hopefully for many more years. Worse comes to shove, we WILL make something work. Now's a great time to support: www.stopcar.ing

Stop Caring

A publication about video games focused on the ways they evoke unique cultural conversations as well as the personal lessons we can learn from them as artistic media.

I've been thinking a lot about how difficult it is to be in games as a woman, especially a non-white one. The very first time we brought one of our women writers with us to PAX. And how lucky I am that I do conventions and big events with my husband.

I dunno man, it's kind of unsettling to see rampant gushing and uncritical praise for the new Gears of War game while the people who made it are literally being laid off. The very least you could do is mention the layoffs

Mothership is one of the clearest signs we need more women and queer people bc the excitement when they launched was *palpable* and has as only continued to be so. Nearly every person I've seen discover them, or who I've shared their high quality work with, has gone "where the fuck has this been?"

if you aren't already supporting @mothership.blog, you should be. support women and queer people in video game criticism and journalism. we deserve to exist in these spaces but, at least in the case of mothership, we can only exist and pay our writers and introduce you to new writers if YOU help us.

I spoke to several sources working hard at The Coalition, who have experienced increased anxiety around layoffs and promised Metacritic bonuses since Xbox's Reset. The sudden cut of story director Juan Vaca only fueled these fears. Read it below!

As Xbox swings the axe, Gears of War: E-Day developers fear they'll be laid off straight after launch - and right before they'd be due their bonuses. "It's hard to believe anything they say anymore," Coalition devs tell Eurogamer. www.eurogamer.net/the-coalitio...

I feel like I have so much I want to say but it’s just this incoherent ramble. But do you know how much it weighs on me to be the one woman on staff at GameSpot? To be one of VERY few women in the industry? To be one of ever fewer moms? To walk into press events and be the *sole* woman?
