The Massachusetts 6th District deserves representation that represents us. The Democratic Establishment is ashamed of progressive districts like ours. That’s why it got behind a centrist from the richest seat in the district. In Congress, I will be as progressive as we are.

The GCs won on this and they're still miserable. Complaining that the apology didn't go far enough and that Amnesty sent a separate email to their supporters apologizing to them. No matter what you do, you will never appease them. They're a miserable group of bigots.

Amnesty International has now issued a public groveling apology to JK Rowling's organization and has pulled her another report documenting the anti rights platform of gender critical organizations. www.amnesty.org.uk/latest/an-ap...

What a fucking catastrophe Once again; if you do not learn how to talk about this stuff, if you do not learn its effect and understand your base, you will not get elected. We are not asking you to become a trans Harvey Milk over it. We're asking for some basic fucking competence and this ain't it.

If you live in Arizona or Nebraska, please reach out to your local LGBTQ and human rights groups and tell them to form an official PAC opposing these measures! Even if you think these measures are unlikely to be defeated in red states, these measures still shouldn’t go officially unopposed!

I have always said that I am a moderate on trans participation in sports, meaning that inclusion should be balanced with fairness. As science suggests trans women can be included in women's sports fairly, I therefore favor inclusion, like any sensible moderate would.

One of the reasons I don't shut up about trans inclusion in sports is just that sports are a part of life and anyone who wants to do it for fun should be able to, regardless of gender, income or even skill! Let kids have fun! Banning trans girls doesn't solve anything!

The anti trans crowd was outraged by this study because it included clinicians who actually practice gender affirming care. Yet another systematic review that follows Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Utah, and Louisiana that finds this care is safe and effective with rare regret.

Trump's DOJ has accused gender-affirming care providers of colluding with drug manufacturers to violate federal law. In March, I warned this argument could easily be used against abortion providers. Today, Josh Hawley did exactly this in a letter urging DOJ to investigate abortion info site Plan C.

The Trump Administration’s arguments in a recent hearing over a subpoena for trans patients’ medical records could also spell danger for abortion access.

NOTE: No changes, but just want to note that in addition to filing notices of appeal in the NYC/NYU Langone and Packard (Stanford) cases over DOJ's grand jury subpoenas relating to gender-affirming care for trans minors, DOJ has filed motions at the district courts to stay the injunctions.

The funny thing is, this gambit never works. Republican politicians and orgs are trans eliminationsit - there is no amount of capitulation that works. She will get the same ads run against her, and all she will have done by taking this position is to alienate a meaningful percentage of her base.

When I criticize Dems in the United States who waffle on transgender issues, its because I don't want them turning into Labour UK, who pretty much has fully espoused transphobia and is enacting extreme harm on trans people in that country far worse than the conservatives had done.

EDM 603: tabled on 14 July 2026
Tabled in the 2026-27 session.
This motion has been signed by 4 Members. It has not yet had any amendments submitted.Motion text
That this House expresses extreme concern
at Amnesty International UK's report
entitled A Growing Threat: the Anti-Rights
Movement in the UK, published on 8 July;
condemns its depiction and listing of
organisations defending the rights of
women, girls, children, and gay and
bisexual people as anti-rights on the basis
of them being gender critical; further
condemns its depiction and listing of
organisations of parents and of clinicians as
promoting conversion practices; notes that
organisations depicted as supposedly anti-rights includes many grassroots women's rights organisations doing vital work domestically and internationally with vulnerable women and children, and a rape crisis centre and support service for female that gender critical belief is a protected belief under the Equality Act 2010 and reflects the views of the majority of the public; also notes that it is perfectly
survivors of male violence; further notes
legitimate to organise around the protected
characteristic of sex and to offer single-sex
spaces, as clarified by the recent SupremeCourt ruling in For Women Scotland vs The Scottish Government; recognises that such organisation, work and services are fundamentally important; also condemns the report for making unevidenced characterisations; acknowledges the damaging impact of such baseless accusations for the small grassroots charities and organisations listed; and calls on Amnesty International to withdraw the report, issue a formal public correction and apology acknowledging the reputational harm, and pledge that Amnesty staff who hold gender critical beliefs can express such beliefs without fear of bullying or harassment.Antoniazzi, Tonia

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
