Train for the scenarios you expect and practice beforehand. Same with practicing bloc'ing/debloc'ing, med aid, etc... Work on keeping it smooth and steady and your mind calm and collected. Remember, smooth is fast. As you become more comfortable add stressors until you're mentally prepared.
Fire season is just an excuse to practice cardio while wearing a respirator
I have a lot going on this week but this is my masterpiece
Running a sale in my store all Black August daygloayhole.gumroad.com some comics are 4-20 dollars off.
I have frankly not had a lot of patience for people outside of Michigan and with no connection to metro Detroit opining on this particular dynamic, and since someone asked I'm going it share it here too if anyone else is interested.
I think this article does a good job at touching on a lot of the particulars of what is a complex topic if you or anyone else wants to better understand it, bearing in mind I don't quite agree with everything expressed (I don't trust myself to do it justice in posts) blac.media/features/bla...
A lot of people on here remain bitter about the version of Uncommitted they made up in their heads while high profile members of the actual Uncommitted are becoming mayors, state senators, members of Congress and maybe even part of the US Senate. In some cases, with establishment support.
Under-discussed Michigan politics story is that a co-founder of Uncommitted is about to become the Democratic nominee for a seat to the State Senate with the backing of Governor Whitmer
Both threads are true & historically accurate I also think it’s ok in this emergency to draw parallels to the increasingly culturally illiterate average bear wrt what they’re seeing in a way that doesn’t require extensive history lessons Yes the US has been fascist. Yes these are acting like Nazis
Perpetually linking ICE activity to mid 20th century Nazism misses over a hundred years of US immigration law based on racial exclusion AND the very real policies of US empire both domestic and abroad. The US held Haitian asylum seekers in detention camps in Cuba for years as recently as the 90s.
I think on the whole it’s totally fine in principle to urge people to be cautious in how they talk about AIPAC et al but some people really do need to get it thru to themselves that it is actually exceptional for one organization to spend >30M on a single primary like it’s nothing.
That people--living breathing working people--get framed as a "drain" will always sit wrong with me And now we're seeing record farm failures, record food costs. And detention companies committing atrocities at our expense. How is that not a "drain"
Woke as a pejorative is simply policing an uncritical adherence to hegemonic whiteness part the infinity.
This is a completely fine answer. What is overly-woke about this?
Love Venser, of course, but for 5 mana? Hard not feel like it falls short in comparison. This guy has won so many games for me:
DONT BLINK, NEW VENSER IS HERE. What are y'all including in the 99? Or what deck's are y'all jamming him in?
I have, with my own eyes, watched my tax dollars in the form of missiles as they hit buildings inhabited by civilians. I'd much prefer subsidizing a grocery story I don't use.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
Apparently DEI was the only thing standing between us and death lettuce

Insane that democrats keep trying to cave on this issue rather than amplifying the fact that it’s being spearheaded by bigots and freaks
An initiative on the ballot in Washington state in November would require all athletes seeking to play girl's sports from kindergarten to high school to undergo "genetic screening, a testosterone-levels test, or an examination of their reproductive anatomy" before they can play
Israel: What part of us killing Palestinians at will forever are you not getting?
TEL AVIV, Israel (AP) — Israel has shared “serious security concerns” with the White House regarding the proposed disarmament deal with Hamas, an Israeli official said Sunday in what were some of the first public comments since U.S. President Donald Trump announced the agreement.
The MI voting stickers are fun - whoever thought up the idea was a genius
this issue was just in front of the Supreme Court, and the case was the state of West Virginia against a middle school girl. which side sounds braver to you?
One of the great People’s Scholars, and writer of the definitive book on the Young Lords. Her class on race and empire (offered for free with a radical bookstore) introduced me to thinkers who changed how I saw the world. What a devastating loss

So many things are possible just as long as you don't know they're impossible.
There are reasons I will never stop hitting random LGSs for Commander Night^^
Playing commander with strangers is incredible because WHAT DO YOU MEAN a 12 year old girl just Cruelclawed into a turn 4 obliterate? I was not ready. But I've never been happier.

It was inevitable that reactionary centrists would turn against harm reduction and call for a return to mass incarceration
The Cities That Said Yes to Drugs
Policies that gave addicts clean needles and places to use drugs were intended to reduce harm. They created a “zombie apocalypse.”

We live in capitalism. Its power seems inescapable. So did the divine right of kings. Any human power can be resisted and changed by human beings. Resistance and change often begin in art, and very often in our art, the art of words.
To be clear, the claims: 1. Successful movements have used violence, including armed self-defense 2. Claiming otherwise is indefensible 3. The resistance owes its existence to movements like 1. 4. don’t fucking parrot prosecutors
